The ICM patented DB “Double Bubble” system is a unique way of compressing connectors. The metal is formed 360° around the cable which in turn forms a seal which provides superior protection against moisture leakage limiting poor signal quality due to the elements.
This one piece, non-blind entry industrial grade line differs from the commercial in that it is specific to only BNC, RCA and “F” cable mount options and is lower in cost. This line is ideal for installers that specifically install CATV, satellite and security camera systems where cabling is exposed and connector cosmetics are not important. Aside from being conveniently color coded for the different sizes of coaxes, ICM offers sizes not for only 26 AWG thru 18AWG riser but also then plenum equivalents.
The CPLCRBC compression tool (pictured below) is what is used for the DB line and will not work with the commercial grade.

This one piece, non-blind entry, 360° patented commercial line of connectors from ICM is specific to commercial integration where installers are specific to home theater, conference rooms, bar, restaurants, etc.
Aside from a full line of cable mount options this line also includes 90° male, female cable mount BNC, RCA, and “F”’s which can be converted into standard keystone mount clips which fit into industry standard wall plates and rack frames. Aside from being conveniently color coded for the different sizes of coaxes, ICM offers sizes for only 26 AWG thru 18 AWG riser and the plenum equivalents.
In addition, multi-colored rings and bands are available which can be attached on to either gender saving the need to inventory multiple skews of color, gender, and mounting combinations. These combinations can be created on the fly at the jobsite. The commercial line also includes speaker connectors for 12, 14 and 16 AWG cable.
The CPLCCT-SLM compression tool (pictured below) is used for the commercial line and will not work with the industrial “DB” line. |
